What's been happening?

Well quite a lot has happened recently and I have neglected my personal blog.

Two very exciting events - one has been the total honour of being made High Priestess of the Dorset Grove the other is the launch of the Kitchen Witch forum.

The Kitchen Witch forum has been several months in the making initially myself and Blaiddwolf setting it up and loading up all the information from our own Book of Shadows, then Pan coming on board with all his druidry information, then a few weeks before launch some of our other lovely friends came on board - huge thanks to Thunder, Foxy, Sky, Wiccan, Sunchylde and Natures Child for all your help, input and support.  And a thank you to Pete for all his artistic & design assistance.  It is our hope that the forum will become a community where everyone learns alongside each other.

And then the role of High Priestess..well what can I say?  Exciting, honoured, nervous and a whole other heap of emotions.   I was asked by Foxy at the Litha ritual to join him in leading it and it was amazing.  Such a feeling of connectiveness to the land, to the circle, to deity.  I have done a lot of research into the role of High Priestess and it does seem to be a bit sketchy.  I haven't found a lot of history about the actual details.  However, I shall do my utmost to live up to the title and fulfill the role whatever it turns out to be, to the best of my ability!  To be part of a ritual led by either Foxy or Pan and myself just seems to give that balance - the balance of male and female, seems to work perfectly.

I do firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, about twelve years ago when I first started on this path I had no idea where it would lead me.  I studied initially as a solitary for about 2 1/2 years, then studied with the Correllian Tradition for 1 1/2 years then 7 years with Sacred Mists.  Now I am a solitary hedge/kitchen witch following my path in various directions, and I have also been studying druidry with OBOD for the past six months which I am loving and it seems to work so well with traditional witchcraft.  All of these things have led me to meet the lovely friends that I have and to arrive at this point in my life.

I am blessed, I have an amazing husband, two very wonderful children, the best parents and the best friends.   I have a lovely home and a good job - I could do with a bit more money to cover everything but then who doesn't??  On the whole I am a very lucky witch.
