Ch...Ch...Changes

A few months back I drew a three card tarot spread for myself - Death, Hanged Man and The Tower.

Now, although some of those cards might look scary and sometimes they can be, but they are more about decisions and changes - death must occur for rebirth to happen. The old must be torn down to make way for new ways of thinking, new ways of doing things.

At the time I wasn't sure exactly what areas of my life the cards referred to.

Litha is a time to look back over the past year and see what you have achieved, where you have come from and to look forward to see where you are heading.

This past year for me personally/spiritually has been a bit of a roller coaster. Friendships have changed, spiritual avenues have changed. Some pathways have ended, some have changed, some new ones have opened.

It is taking me a while to sort out all the changes in my head and my heart. I do believe that all things happen for a reason, the universe knows what it is doing. I am beginning to understand why all the events that have occurred this year happened.

I am a witch of the old ways, always will be first and foremost and my learning and experiences with that still continue but I have also been studying for the past few months with OBOD (Order of Bards, Ovates & Druids) which has been really interesting, I think druidry works very well with witchcraft.

My path has taken me from the computer and into the outside world, I have attended some amazing rituals in some beautiful sacred places. I have met new people and new ways of working the Craft and new ways of learning.

Kitchen Witch is also working on a new project, we have been for some time now, it is very exciting and due to be launched in the very near future...;-)

I'm still dealing with the fall out from the major changes, but I am also very interested to see where the next part of my journey leads me.

One of the things I have learnt from the experiences this year is how much good, true friends support me and for that I am extremely grateful.

I have also learnt that sometimes to move forward we need to cut ties and leave things behind. It can be painful at the time but ultimately worthwhile.
